The project brief was to design the conversion of a historic industrial mill into contemporary office spaces. It was essential to maintain the mill’s natural aesthetic in the redesign.

The new entrance foyer was designed to be industrial; similar to the mill’s exterior. For this, we utilised stone, glass and metal to design an entrance that was contemporary whilst also being visually suited to the space, and practical and resilient.

The use of modern lighting and services throughout the building was essential for the desired function of the building as office lettings. Achieving the same acoustic performance as a modern office was also important for the redesign’s success.
